Free and paid

Half the application is free and stays free — measurement, the 35-switch Optimizations page, the repair cards, backups and the maintenance tools. A plan opens the ten pages that change the machine most deeply. The table below is the whole division; there is no third tier.

Monitoring and sensors

Live clock, temperature, usage and fan for CPU and graphics card, memory in use, and the mouse polling rate measured from real movement rather than read off a spec sheet. Polling stops while a game is in the foreground: a sensor read takes the graphics kernel lock, and doing it every two seconds during a match is a stutter you can feel.

The tweaks: 80+ of them, every one reversible

Two pages carry the catalogue. Optimizations is free and holds 35 switches — CPU power throttling, core parking, Game DVR, fullscreen optimizations, mouse acceleration, prefetch, visual effects and the rest. Registry Tweaks is on a plan and holds the deeper set: background capture, consumer feature suggestions, Delivery Optimization upload sharing, input queue sizes, Explorer startup delay, window animations. Every switch that writes anything records what was there before.

Game optimization

A CS2 profile with 16 per-game switches, the Steam launch options editor, and a video-config page that reads and writes the game's own settings file — after backing it up. These are the only game files w0a ever writes; it injects no code into game processes and reads none of their memory.

Network and ping

Delayed ACKs off, network throttling lifted, adapter power saving disabled, Energy Efficient Ethernet off, and QoS priority for the game's own executable. Separately, a DNS resolver test that measures the real resolvers from this machine and a ping test against game servers. How much any of it helps depends on your connection and your route.

Process manager and the background engines

Four engines, all off on a fresh install and each turned on separately. Priority raises the game and its helper processes the moment it comes to the foreground. Balance holds background work down while a game runs and hands it back when the game closes. Reserved cores moves everything that is not the game onto the machine's background half. Affinity rules pin a named program to the processors you choose, permanently.

Power plans

A balanced plan and a maximum-performance plan, both created by w0a rather than edited in place, plus a full custom-plan editor: processor floor and ceiling, core parking, idle and display timeouts, USB selective suspend, PCI Express link state.

Graphics card

Live clock, voltage, memory clock, temperature, fan and load, with power limit and clock offset sliders, a fan curve editor, and an auto tuner that measures throughput after each step and reverts itself if the driver resets. Undervolting is the default; overclocking is opt-in. There is also a CS2 driver profile and a P-state hint, both reverted with everything else.

Memory

Timings, frequency and per-slot information read from the modules, a bandwidth measurement, and a memory cleaner that trims working sets on a schedule you set — with running games protected from it.

Latency and measurement

The Latency Test measures the input report tail from real mouse movement and the DPC/ISR time of each driver on the machine, so a stutter can be traced to the driver causing it. Stutter Detective scans for the usual causes. Benchmark reads frame times from Windows' own event stream — no overlay, no injection — and reports average FPS, 1% low and stutters per minute as before/after pairs. The 1% low is the number that matters: an average can rise while the game feels worse.

Maintenance

Startup manager, an uninstaller that also clears what the installer left behind, driver and Windows update checks, and log cleaning that says exactly which folders it will empty before it touches them. Deletions are permanent and the app says so before it deletes anything.

Undo: backups and the Fix page

Every registry and power-plan change is written to a log with the value that was there before, grouped into checkpoints you can revert one at a time or all at once. The Fix page is the other half: one repair card per thing that can be changed, each writing the Windows default back unconditionally — so a machine can be repaired even if it was never touched by w0a, or if the log is gone.

What it deliberately does not do

No kernel-level values are written. No MPO or TDR keys are touched — on a real machine those froze CS2. No code is injected into games and no game memory is read. There is no driver of its own; the signed PawnIO driver used for CPU temperature and RAM timings installs only if you approve it, and only reads.
