Terms of Service

1. Parties and subject

This agreement is between the provider of the w0a software (the "Software") and the person using it ("You"). When the Software is first started it presents a summary of this agreement and asks you to accept it; you cannot use the Software until you do. That summary carries a version number of its own, separate from the version of this document shown above. What is recorded when you accept is the summary version, the time, a digest of the text you were shown, the language it was shown in, and an identifier derived from your device; the version, the time and the text digest are also sent to our licence server the next time your licence is checked, so that the record exists somewhere other than your own machine. Where the summary and this document differ, this document prevails. What else the Software sends, and why, is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Purchases are processed by Paddle.com, our merchant of record: for the transaction Paddle is the seller of record, issues the invoice and takes the payment, and Paddle's Buyer Terms apply to it. This agreement governs your licence to use the Software.

Age: You must be at least 16 years old to use the Software, and by accepting this agreement you declare that you are. If you are under 18, you may use it only with the knowledge and consent of your parent or legal guardian — who accepts this agreement together with you — and purchases must be made or approved by them. The Software does not ask for your date of birth and cannot verify it, so that declaration is what we rely on: if we learn that a licence is being used by someone under 16, we will end that licence and refund the unused period. Because the Software runs with administrator rights, this matters doubly: if the computer is not yours (a family PC, for example), do not use it without its administrator's approval.

2. What the software does

w0a is a tool that applies Windows and gaming performance settings from a single interface. Its main functions are:

• Changing documented setting values in the Windows registry
• Creating and applying power plans
• Setting process priority and CPU core affinity
• Applying clock and fan settings via standard graphics driver calls
• Automatically searching for a stable graphics card operating point, when you start that tool
• Measuring the speed of DNS servers and switching them
• Displaying hardware information and sensor readings
• Writing launch options and a configuration file for a supported game, through the game launcher's own files, and restarting that launcher when the change requires it
• Managing what starts with Windows, ending and prioritising running processes, uninstalling programs, and clearing logs and caches
• Listing the devices that have a newer driver available and, when you start it, downloading and installing that driver through Windows' own update agent

The Software does not inject code into game processes, does not read game memory, and makes no kernel-level changes.

The Software has no driver of its own, and none is installed with it. Only two readings — CPU temperature and memory timings — are data Windows does not expose, and they can be read only at kernel level. For those, and only optionally and with your explicit approval, a digitally signed driver called PawnIO, made by an independent developer, may be installed. It only reads; it changes no settings. If you decline, the rest of the Software works normally and only those two values are unavailable. One consequence is worth naming, because it is known and specific: a kernel driver is exactly what some anti-cheat systems watch for. Older PawnIO versions are on FACEIT's blocked-driver list, and PawnIO's own installer additionally offers an "unrestricted" edition that carries no signature of its own and that anti-cheat systems refuse to run alongside. The Software warns you about both before anything is installed, but the decision is yours, and what a game provider makes of it is theirs (see section 12).

The Software includes third-party and open-source components that are subject to their own licence terms. Those components are used only as their own licences permit, and the licence terms of this agreement do not replace them; where the two conflict, that component's own licence governs for that component. A current list of the components used and their licences is available in the application under Settings → Third-Party Licences. The PawnIO driver referred to above is likewise not part of the Software; it is subject to its independent developer's own licence and terms.

3. Risks and warning

For this reason the Software prompts you to create a system restore point before the first change of a session on the pages that carry that prompt — registry, DNS, network priority, power plan, startup and game configuration — and creates one by itself before it applies an optimisation set. It records the previous value of the registry values it changes from its optimisation and settings pages, and, when it switches power plans, which plan was active; those can be reverted from within the app in one click, so far as the setting still exists on your system. The repair page's cards, the individual values inside a power plan, graphics card settings and deletions are outside that revert log; graphics card settings and deletions get no restore point either, because a restore point would not undo them.

Five things in particular fall outside that revert log, and it matters that you know which: deletions (uninstalling programs, clearing logs and caches) are permanent and are warned about separately; graphics card clock, voltage and fan settings are stored as profiles you can reset by hand, but are not part of the registry revert log; game and launcher configuration files (launch options and a game's own config file) keep a copy of the original beside them and are put back from the repair card on the Fix page, again not from the registry revert log; driver installations are carried out by Windows' own update agent when you start one, and are undone through Windows itself — Device Manager's driver roll-back — because the Software neither logs them nor creates a restore point before them; and BIOS/UEFI settings are never written by the Software at all. It may read your memory profile and suggest you enable XMP or EXPO, but entering the BIOS is your own action, and nothing you change there can be undone by the Software.

4. Licence grant

When you purchase a valid licence key, you are granted the right to use the Software personally on one device for the period you purchased. This right is non-transferable and non-exclusive. Ownership and all intellectual property in the Software remain with the provider; what you buy is a right of use.

Your licence key binds to the device on which it is first activated. That device identity is derived from your hardware — the motherboard's firmware identity and serial number, and the processor — not from your Windows installation, so reinstalling Windows does not change it and the key re-activates on the same computer. Replacing the motherboard or the processor produces a new device identity. To move the key to another computer, release the binding yourself on the bound device (Settings → License → "Unbind This Device") and then activate on the new one; at most 2 releases are allowed in any 30-day period, and the Software tells you when the next release becomes possible if you reach it. If the bound device can no longer be started, contact support and ask for the key to be released. The time you have already paid for is not recalculated when a key is moved.

A licence is checked online. The check runs when the Software starts and is repeated at intervals while it stays open; it needs a connection to our licence server, and the answer is signed and cached, so a short outage or working offline is fine. On the monthly, quarterly and six-month plans that cache is good for 72 hours: if the Software cannot reach the server for longer than that, the paid pages lock until it can — during a session as well as at start-up — while everything in the free tier keeps working. The "Lifetime" plan is exempt from that window — see below.

Scope of the term (subscription) plans

The monthly, quarterly and six-month plans are term licences: your right of use lasts for the period you paid for and, unless you cancel renewal before the renewal date, renews automatically for a further period of the same length at the same price. We will not increase your renewal price unless you agree to it; if a price change is proposed, you will be notified — by us or by Paddle, our merchant of record — before the renewal date, so that you can cancel first. You can turn renewal off at any time — the Refund Policy explains how — and cancelling stops the next charge, with your licence running to the end of the period already paid.

Scope of the "Lifetime" plan

"Lifetime" means your licence term is unlimited: you pay once, there is no subscription, no renewal, and your licence never expires.

It is not a promise that development, updates or online services will continue forever. Like all software, w0a has a life cycle, and development, updates, support and server services may end in the future.

If the service is discontinued: lifetime installations activated up to that point are designed to keep working. An unlimited licence is recognised offline through the digitally signed, timestamped entitlement record stored on your device; the client does not shut it down for being unable to reach a server. However, new activations, device transfers, updates and support are no longer available after that date.

Discontinuation of the Software after a reasonable period of availability does not, by itself, give rise to a refund claim. Your rights under mandatory consumer law remain reserved in all cases.

5. Restrictions

You may not:

• Share, sell, rent or publish your licence key
• Reverse engineer, decompile or modify the Software, except as permitted below or by mandatory law
• Attempt to circumvent licence checks, or build tools to do so
• Redistribute the Software under your own or any other name
• Use the Software on a computer you are not authorised to administer

The Software includes open-source components, listed with their full licence texts under Settings → Third-Party Licences in the application. The restriction above does not apply to them: each is governed by its own licence. Where such a licence requires it, you may modify the Software for your own use and reverse engineer it to debug those modifications, and the source code of those components is available from the addresses shown on that screen.

6. Your responsibilities

• Backing up your important data before using the Software
• Creating the system restore point the Software suggests
• Reading what each setting does — the Software shows an explanation for every one
• Proceeding gradually with graphics card settings and reverting if you see instability
• Keeping your licence key confidential

7. System requirements

The Software runs only on Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit) and requires administrator rights. Operation on older Windows versions, virtual machines or server editions is not warranted. Activating a licence, and the licence check described in section 4, need an internet connection. Consequences arising from use on a system that does not meet these requirements fall outside this agreement.

8. Free and paid tiers

The Software opens without a licence key. Nine screens require a valid licence: registry tweaks, network priority, game optimisation, the process manager, power plans, graphics card tuning, RAM timings, the stutter analysis and the USB ports page. Everything else is in the free tier — the monitoring pages, the optimisation sets, launch options and CS2 configuration, RAM settings, the DNS test, the ping test, the FPS benchmark, the repair page, driver updates, and every tool (startup management, uninstalling programs, log cleaning, backups). The free tier is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, save for rights that mandatory consumer law makes non-excludable.

From time to time we also offer a free one-day trial of the paid features. It is claimed from inside the Software with a Discord account: the account must be a member of our Discord server and at least seven days old. The trial runs for twenty-four hours, is granted once per Discord account and once per device, and the key it produces is tied to that device — unlike a purchased key it cannot be moved to another machine, by you or by us. Nothing is paid for it, so it gives rise to no refund and no right of withdrawal, and it is provided on the same "as is" basis as the free tier. We may change the conditions of the trial or stop offering it at any time; that affects neither a trial already running nor any purchased licence. Which Discord data is recorded when you claim it, and how long it is kept, is set out in the Privacy Policy.

9. Updates

The Software checks for new versions and may offer updates. During your paid licence term — and, for the Lifetime plan, for the period you may reasonably expect given the nature of the Software — we will inform you of and provide the updates, including security updates, that are necessary to keep the Software in conformity with this agreement. If you do not install an update we have provided and explained, we are not liable for a lack of conformity resulting solely from that omission. Where a security vulnerability or serious defect is involved, an update may be made mandatory, in which case the Software cannot be used until it is installed. Beyond what conformity requires, we may change or remove features only for a valid reason — security, legal compliance or technical adaptation — and at no additional cost to you. If such a change negatively affects your access to or use of the Software in more than a minor way, we will notify you in advance on a durable medium and, on paid plans, you may terminate this agreement free of charge within 30 days and receive a pro-rata refund for the unused period.

One power is worth naming on its own, because it takes effect before any notice can reach you. The file the Software reads at every start can also name a feature to be switched off. That switch can only turn a feature off — it can never change what a feature does — and it exists for one case: a feature found to misbehave on some hardware, where waiting for a new version to be built and installed would leave people running it in the meantime. A feature switched off this way stops being available as soon as that file is read, which happens while the Software is already running: a feature in use at that moment is stopped rather than left to finish. The switch is remembered on your machine, so it keeps holding while you are offline. We will say what was switched off and why as soon as we reasonably can, and if the loss is more than minor and is not put right, you have the same right to terminate free of charge with a pro-rata refund as described above.

10. Warranty

The Software is provided "as is". No specific performance gain, FPS figure or particular outcome is promised. Any gain depends on your system's existing configuration and may be nil. Nor is it warranted that the Software will run uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Limitation of liability

The decision to use the Software is yours and the risk of use is yours. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

• Indirect damages, loss of profit, loss of data, business interruption and reputational loss
• Damage arising from acting against the Software's warnings and recommendations (not backing up, not creating a restore point, applying excessive values despite a warning)
• The behaviour of third-party software, drivers, hardware or services
• Use outside the system requirements stated in section 7
• Any consequence of you modifying or cracking the Software, or circumventing its licence checks
• Force majeure and infrastructure outages beyond our control

Where we are liable, and to the extent the law permits, our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the licence giving rise to the claim — or, for term (subscription) plans, the amounts paid in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim — including amounts paid through Paddle, our merchant of record.

12. Anti-cheat and third-party services

The Software does not perform the behaviours anti-cheat systems look for (injecting into game processes, reading game memory, interfering with game processes). However, how third-party anti-cheat or game providers assess software, what rules they set and what they decide about accounts is entirely at their discretion and outside our control. We can give no assurance on this point and cannot be held responsible for account sanctions arising from it.

w0a is not officially affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by any game, platform, publisher or anti-cheat service. All trademarks mentioned belong to their respective owners.

13. Suspension and termination

If we determine that a licence key has been shared or sold, or that attempts are being made to circumvent licence checks, we may suspend or cancel that key. A suspension takes effect immediately — that is what it is for — and we then notify you without undue delay, with our reasons, at the contact address held for your purchase, and give you an opportunity to object; if your objection is upheld the key is restored. Cancellation is reserved for serious or repeated breaches, and outside cases of deliberate breach or fraud the unused period is refunded pro rata. Your rights under mandatory consumer law are reserved.

A licence lives with the payment that bought it. If a payment is refunded, reversed or charged back, the access it paid for ends with it, and while a payment dispute is open the key may be suspended. If that dispute then closes with the payment left with us, the suspension has no reason to continue: write to us and the key is restored. This is not a penalty: it is the same transaction being undone on both sides.

You may end this agreement at any time by uninstalling the Software and, if applicable, turning off renewal of your subscription. Turning automatic renewal on or off is always your choice.

Force majeure: neither party is liable for a failure to perform caused by an event beyond its reasonable control (for example a natural disaster, war, general strike, a nationwide network or electricity outage, or an outage at an infrastructure provider). The affected obligations are suspended for as long as the event lasts, and the party affected informs the other as soon as it reasonably can. If the event continues for more than 30 days, either party may terminate this agreement and the unused part of any period already paid for is refunded pro rata.

14. Governing law and disputes

This agreement is governed by the law of Türkiye, where the seller is established. That choice does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live. If something goes wrong, please write to us first; most issues are resolved that way.

Consumers resident in Türkiye may apply to the consumer arbitration committees according to the applicable monetary thresholds; for disputes above the arbitration-committee threshold, mediation is a mandatory pre-condition to bringing court proceedings, after which the consumer courts may be seised. If you live elsewhere, your right to bring a claim before the consumer authorities and courts of your own country is reserved. Nothing in this agreement closes those routes or treats you as having waived them.

If you are not acting as a consumer — that is, if you use the Software in the course of a business or profession — the courts and enforcement offices of the seller's registered seat, as stated in section 1, are competent for disputes arising from this agreement. That sentence does not apply to consumers and does not narrow any of the routes described above.

This agreement is published in English and in Turkish. For consumers resident in Türkiye the Turkish text prevails; for all other users the English text prevails.

15. Changes

We may update this agreement, and we do so only for a valid reason — a change in the law, a change in the Software or in the services it relies on, or security. If we make a material change we will notify you inside the Software before it takes effect and ask for your acceptance again. Terms will not be changed to your detriment during a licence period already paid for, including the Lifetime licence; if you do not accept a material change, the version you accepted continues to apply to that period.

Updating the Software is not the same as changing this agreement. Updates needed to keep the Software working, secure and in conformity with what was promised may be installed automatically and without asking you separately — supplying those updates is our obligation, not our discretion, and the version number of the Software may therefore change without your involvement. Such an update changes the Software only: it does not alter the price, the licence period, or any other term of this agreement, and it will not be used to remove a paid feature. Where a new version also carries a changed agreement, that change is presented to you separately and the paragraph above applies to it.

If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force. A provision that is invalid because it is an unfair term simply ceases to apply and is not replaced; any other invalid provision is treated as replaced by the valid provision closest to its purpose.
